Celebrating a Decade of Innovation: Udio turns 10

As we celebrate our 10th anniversary here at Udio, we can't help but take a trip down memory lane and look back at how far we've come. It feels like just yesterday when we powered our first operational business in Perth and Adelaide back in 2014. Little did we know that it would be the start of an incredible journey that would revolutionise the way class-based businesses operate.

What began as a swim school software has evolved into a comprehensive solution for all class-based businesses, thanks to the incredible support and feedback from our clients. We are now catering to multiple industries, including dance, gymnastics, tutoring, and - of course - swimming across four continents.

2015 

Our online portal officially went live, marking a significant milestone for us. It was a game-changer for our customers, allowing them to update their details, set up recurring payments, and view upcoming lessons—all from the comfort of their own homes. Over the years, we've continued to enhance our portal, adding features like online booking, the ability to change a child's level, and even the option to add health conditions. Since then, we have had over 80 million class bookings!

2016

In 2016, we introduced self-check-in kiosks, designed to streamline the check-in process and reduce queues at the front desk. These smart devices not only made life easier for our customers but also freed up valuable time for staff members.

2020

The year 2020 brought with it a major overhaul of our email system, with the introduction of automated email functionality and enhanced reporting capabilities. This upgrade not only improved communication with our customers but also provided valuable insights for all business operators. More than 30 million emails have been sent through Udio without any human intervention.

2022

And let's not forget 2022, the year we rolled out our Operations Module and launched the pool test log—a must-have tool for swim school operators to record swimming pool measurements accurately.

2023

In 2023, we finished building an integration with Zapier, allowing our customers to connect to third-party apps seamlessly.

NOW and into the future...

But the excitement doesn't stop there! We recently launched Udio Pay, our own payment gateway, empowering businesses to streamline their payment processes and improve their overall customer experience. It's just one of the many ways we're continuing to innovate and evolve to meet the needs of our clients.

In addition to our achievements over the past decade, we're excited to announce some upcoming developments. Our team has been hard at work on launching our very own innovative app to provide an even more seamless and intuitive user experience.
